Buildings: Understanding and Rectifying Faults in the Fabric of Buildings |
|
|
In the 1960s a ‘new’ type of cement became popular with pre-cast concrete manufacturers for its early strength gain properties. However, before long a number of roofs supported by this material collapsed, leading building owners to seek independent advice on the soundness of their structures. In the absence of other specialists in this field, the High-Alumina Cement scare lead our founder John Glanville to form STATS and provide high quality scientific and engineering investigations and advice on this and other potential and manifested faults affecting the fabric of buildings. Over thirty years later, STATS has lost none of its appetite for understanding and rectifying faults in buildings.
We know about historic, period and modern buildings.
We understand about metal, concrete and timber frames, masonry, roofs, cladding, floors, ceilings, wall finishes, spa baths, swimming pools and exterior paving.
We have all the necessary investigative and testing techniques and resources to hand to discover the facts and offer practical advice where solutions are required, or just reassurance to investors.
STATS Limited is certified by DNV to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OSHAS 18001 for Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management, accredited by CHAS and holds registrations with Constructionline, Link-up & UVDB.
